Possible switch needs to be replaced. I had that issue...replaced my switch and good as new. The problem is...buying one from Mazdatrix is insanely priced...ebay will be somewhere between 50.00-100.00.

Be sure you get one that is working good...chances are the rebuilt ones on ebay will be a little more expensive, but guaranteed to work compared to one that is from a seller who selling parted out parts.

...I could be wrong...but my situation was similar and fixed mine. One weird thing about my issue was when I would turn the wipers off...it would stop where I turned it off and not reset itself.

It's not the switch, it's the park position. Take the wiper arms off their posts, cycle the wipers once, the put the arms back onto the posts. Put them back on so they're sitting where you want them to be when they're stopped. Done.

Has anyone had the problem where the wipers only work on the fastest speed? And mine do stop as soon as you turn it off its a real pain im guessing its the switch just checking if anyone else has encountered this

One of the most common issues with FC's.

thanks for all the help everyone im going to try this , if that doesnt work then ill get a new wiper switch.

but can u go more into detail as to wut i do, by reset do u mean i take the posts off then just turn the wipers on for a sec? then when they stop push em down to the position i want then reconnect wiper arms and it should work?

No, you don't take the posts off. Look at the base of each arm. There's a nut, 14mm I think. Take it off. It'll be on very tight so you'll have to whack the wrench/rachet to get it to move. Take it off and then work the wiper arm off. You'll be left with the post. Now go turn the wiper switch on and off so that it cycles once. When the posts stop turning, put the wiper arms back on. Make sure the blades are sitting right where you want them to be. Now put the nuts back on, nice and tight. Try the wiper switch and see what happens...
