windshield wipers don't work
So? Check the fuse then.
Still not work? Get a piece of wire a foot or more long. Bare both ends. Put one end on a known ground like the ground that is located just inboard of the wiper motor (has a blade terminal on it) or just touch it to the intake manifold.
Now, with the other end that's bare, stick it in the back of the blue/white wire on the wiper motors electrical connector. Or stick it in the back of the blue/red wire on the wiper motors electrical connector. When you do, with the key to ON, the wipers should move. IF the wipers do move, then the wiper switch is kaput.
NOTE: the wipers work when you put a ground on either of those two wires. That's all the wiper switch does in life...put a ground on one or the other of those two wires. Well, almost all.
