I just got mine replaced under insurance, $375 including labor and parts. I'm sure you could shop around or something.

Max, did you get one with the antena strip? I have heard they are no longer available.

How did you take out the window without breaking it?
What tools did you use?

Just break it to take it out... it wont shatter and make a mess cuz its got a lexan film that holds it together.

Actually I don't have the car.. I'm just curious... Because someone is offering one that has a "cracked front window" he says, I'm not sure if he means the windshield, or the windows on the doors.. Couldn't tell in the pics (had the hood up and the windshield wasn't very visible) where it was really.... Says it needs to be replaced though, so I was wondering about that.

u tell how it has one by looking down the middle of the glass and u'll see a little line that goes up in the middle
uh i think mine was 300bux when i replaced mine...but if u find one at a junk yard all u have to do is cut the silicone that they used to glue the windshield down with use like a hood latch cable to cut it too

I paid $220CDN (1CDN=.75USD) with antena, install. Antena strip ones are widely available. That was the cheapest, but I had several quotes that weren't too far off.

Word of advise: If you are calling for quotes often you'll be asked if its under insurance or not. They jack up the price for the insurance claims. How many people have a $200CDN deductable? Some places are extremely overpriced for non-insurance claims because they don't want non-insurance claims. Why make less money when you can make more?

Are you joking about the "break it to take it out" thing?!?! If you want a broken windshield look no further than the one already on your car.

isn't it pretty hard to get a good windshield out of a car without breaking it?

If you don't have the "heated rod", use piano wire wrapped around couple of wooden dowels. You'll need a person inside and out to move the wire around the windsheild through the sealant.
