Question Will this work??

Heres a pic of a msd box i basically got for free.....will it work on my 7 or not.....I know its for direct ignition but is it good enough for a 7?.....or is my 7 stock ignition better than this box?.....thanx for your input guys.....

I believe it will work. Thats a Digital MSD, the equivalent to the Crane (that thing cost over $200).

You may perform a search under RETED and CDI boxes.

Wow, that's a $300+ ignition box you got for free?!?!?!&nbsp You sure it still works?

Now, he's the bad news - you can't use it with your stock leading coil unless you buy a pair of single-tower coils for just the leadings.&nbsp "Cheap" MSD coils run about $50 each; so for under $100, you got yourself a bulletproof CDI leading ignition.&nbsp To get the DIS-2 to fire properly, you need to toggle the settings to "wastespark".

On the other hand, you can basically splice the DIS-2 into the trailing coils.&nbsp You have two separate trailing coils, so there is no need for aftermarket coils in this case.&nbsp The downside?&nbsp You get very little power gains firing the CDI box into the trailings; installing the CDI box on the leadings get you the most gains...
