Will a stock GTU pass EURO 4 emissions?

Take a look at the pic below for the EURO 4 numbers.

Assuming our subject FC is pretty much stock, will it pass? I'm shipping this car to Taiwan & it's gotta pass EURO 4. I'm pretty much dense when it comes to smog...but it does pass CA emissions. Already searched...so can someone hook it up with the info?

I've owned both an S4 and S5 GTU. Not sure which you have, but the answer probably would be the same for either series. Also, not sure if the car you own came with US-spec emissions equipment or if it was delivered in another country, so your results may vary.

Last time my S4 GTU was smogged in Maryland, they only tested for HC and CO. My car registered 3 PPM HC (220 PPM is the allowable limit in MD) and 0.00% CO (1.20% allowed).

I found an old emissions certificate from 2000 back before I got my streetported engine and aftermarket cats on my S5 GTU. It was tested in Pennsylvania which has the same limits as Maryland. That car had readings of 8 PPM at 750 RPM (idle) and 13 PPM at 2656 RPM of HC and again 0.00% CO throughout the test.

If the emissions systems on these cars are in good shape, they're really pretty clean in terms of emissions. However, I don't know what the HC+NOx values would have been for either of my cars. Neither of the states I lived in tested for NOx (oxides of nitrogen).

Yes, to clarify, it's an American car with American emissions. Also, it's an S4 GTU.

I'm looking for the numbers all over the place on Euro sites and such, but so far no dice. If anyone's got CA numbers that also have HC+NOx, that'd be awesome.

BTW, this is all just temporary to get the car in legally. After that, it's back in with the ported 13b RE with all the fixin's!

CA tests for HC, CO and NOx separately and at 2 speeds. These are the maximums from my 2009 test:

15 mph: HC: 121 ppm, CO: 0.76%, NOx: 807 ppm
25 mph: HC: 96 ppm, CO: 0.65%, NOx: 746 ppm

My 2009 test results:

15 mph: HC: 5 ppm, CO: 0.03%, NOx: 43 ppm
25 mph: HC: 27 ppm, CO: 0.03%, NOx: 26 ppm

This is with an oversized main catalytic converter, and no precats. With the original main cat, the car was borderline passing back in '05 and '07.

What kind of main cat are you using? and why would you use an oversized main cat?

More catalyst surface area = more complete reaction. You can see from the test that it works great. It's something I got for free that was originally used for some GM V8 powered car. Besides, the test is only 1 day every 2 years if you get my drift.

This is my 2009's test result. with a Magnaflow direct replacement rear cat, I did this test when the CAt was about 100-200 miles old. I glutted the pre-cat cuz it was showing signs of "melting", but it shouldn't effect any results.

HC 0.53
CO 2.1
NOx 0.09

Its been over a year I haven't test it again, but I drove my FC for less than 100 miles this past year so I guess the results should be about the same.
