will a s5 guage cluster work on an s4

hey guys i was wondering will an s5 guage cluster work on an s4. im wondering because im am going to do some engine work and run higher rpms and i dont want to get one of those tach's that mount on the dash.

what kind of work are you going to do to get more RPMs? installing a standalone?

to answer the question, no it isn't a plug and play deal, the wiring is different, it can be done with some effort though. keep in mind the coolant temp is a 3 stage unit and not as accurate as the S4 also.

not without re-wiring the plugs

Other than that, yes it will work.

you will need like a new ecu too because you have a rev limiter

the stock ecu lets u rev to 8K the tach goes to 8 K so whats the problem haha.....

umm yea i never heard of initial D sounds like a rejected saturday morning cartoon.

any ways im goin with lighter flywheel rb race rotors r/a rebuild kit, new ecu, and better cooling, ect...

wtf? how am i dumbass... IT WONT WORK unless you rewire... the pins are wired differently... treid putting an 89 gxl cluster into an 86 base... all it does is blow the "meter" fuse... dumbass
