will a s5 guage cluster work on an s4

hey guys i was wondering will an s5 guage cluster work on an s4. im wondering because im am going to do some engine work and run higher rpms and i dont want to get one of those tach's that mount on the dash.

what kind of work are you going to do to get more RPMs? installing a standalone?

to answer the question, no it isn't a plug and play deal, the wiring is different, it can be done with some effort though. keep in mind the coolant temp is a 3 stage unit and not as accurate as the S4 also.

not without re-wiring the plugs

Other than that, yes it will work.

You may wish to use the search function found in the upper right hand corner of the page as this has been covered before.

you will need like a new ecu too because you have a rev limiter

wtf? how am i dumbass... IT WONT WORK unless you rewire... the pins are wired differently... treid putting an 89 gxl cluster into an 86 base... all it does is blow the "meter" fuse... dumbass
