Will an s4 caliper fit an s5?

I need my front drivers side caliper replaced and found a set of single piston calipers from an s4. Will this be a direct replacement for my s5 single piston caliper? I don't notice any difference in both calipers but that's only from what I can see in photos. I've also heard 4 lug rotors are smaller than 5 lug rotors?

Either way I'd love an answer to this so I can buy them ASAP

Thanks.

Well that doesn't answer anything because I have vented rotors up front with single piston calipers. I need to know if the rotors are the same diameter because everytime someone does an single for 4 piston swap on 5 lug cars you can use the same rotor, whereas every thread I seen about 4 lug 4 piston swaps, they need a larger diameter rotor or drill new holes in the vented 4 piston rotors.

The front rotors are identical between S4 and S5, single and four piston calipers.
My GTU was originally single piston, I swapped on some 4 piston calipers without changing a thing.

gonna have to disagree.

the 4 lug, base brakes had a 9.8" vented rotor up front. The 5 lug, gxl, turbo, etc, four piston brakes had a 10.7" rotor.

also per, cake's build thing about running 4 lug hubs on a four piston arrangement, you need a spacer behind the rotor since the calipers are different. (floating vs. non floating)

Also, being your GTU was single piston, im guessing you had an S5 car.

Yes, but I'd like to know if I can buy and install 4 lug single piston calipers on my S5 with S5 rotors, etc. But I heard the 4 lug single rotor is smaller, so I wanted someone to confirm that.

Yes, you can.
The single and 4pot calipers are identical between series, the different steering knuckles (that the caliper bolts to) accommodate the different rotor diameters.
