Unknown bearing with clutch kit

I recently ordered an Exedy Stage 2 clutch kit for my N/A 87, the 3 puck one. It came with all the good stuff, clutch and pressure plate, throwout bearing, clutch alignment tool, and pilot bearing. But instead of a pilot bearing SEAL, like their pictures show, i got this:

I've looked everywhere and can't find any mention of it, I've never seen it before and can't even find anyone that sells it. Anyone have an idea of what it is and where it goes? Is it not even supposed to be in this kit? It's got the same Inner Diameter as the pilot bearing, does it maybe go on that same shaft on the tranny inbetween the pilot and the throwout? No idea.

The FC's clutch size is the same as a bunch of other cars. That bearing on the left is the pilot bearing for something else - They just make one kit that fits both so they don't need two separate part numbers etc.

What car that pilot bearing is for I don't know, but you can just toss it, it's not needed on a FC

I've never received a pilot bearing seal in a clutch kit unfortunately. You'll need to order one separately.

^ Yup. I actually found a use for it though. I got a deep socket and used it as a seal driver for the pilot bearing seal. Also bought separately.

simple.. its also a spigot bearing.. obviously ripped straight out of a parts listing and chucked in the kit .. however this particularly spigot bearing is in the alt
... no im not joking..
just goes to show how "professional" some of those kits actually are.. put together on a microfiche,, but seems the customer is guinea pig when it comes to physically putting all the bits together
( as clearly they will have worked out its the wrong part in the kit had they actually tried to fit this up to a real rx7 )

not the first time i have seen an "alt spigot bearing" offered up in kit
.. or from parts chasers separately as a "clutch spigot bearing"
..just cause it is linked by the words "spigot" on their parts search engine .. and so parts monkey insists the computer doesnt lie

well.. i have mentioned it before.. and here it is getting a mention again

expect also for mazda parts ( australia ) to get s4/s5 water pumps wrong ( their fiche only lists the s5 pump )
had to dump the s4 pump and assembly on the bench there once to prove a point..

also many aftermarket providers get the s4 thermostat and the s5 thermostat confused or only offer the s5 one on the fiche for all years
and as such is a major contributer to early FC rx7s running hot
( due to bypass loop not being fully shut with the incorrect specified thermostat )

.. been there ,, done that.. just sayin
( that it is the fiche shared between parts suppliers that is full of missing entries and errors )
