Will a rotary fit?
Is there any other cars the the 13b na will fit into with minimum or no fab work. i crashed my car into a tree yesterday so my chassie is f'd but the engine only had 3k on it so i wanna swap.
fb, corolla, mazda truck. lot's of things. You switch front covers with an fb, and boom easy to make an adapter if the car is already rwd. Just bolt it to the chassis frame.

Also, Kennedy Engineering sells a transmission adapter that attaches a 13B to a VW transaxle. There are lots of cool kit cars around with low resale pricing.

Especially since the rotary mounts in the opposite way of most piston engines.
Was making a left on a gravel road and somone cut me off and when I went to avoid car broke loose and I had no control.
If I do put the engine in a different car how will smog go?

The smog rules are governed by the new chassis you'd be putting it in. The new engine must have at least as many emissions controls are the original engine. But if goes into a '75 or earlier, it would not need smog testing at all. At least until the Governor passes legislation to do away with the smog exemption. But that's CA for you. So if it's in a '76 to current chassis, the car has to be taken to a state referee to be approved. They will smog test it and scrutinize every little detail. You'll get a sticker that explains your engine swap to future smog testers.
Or you can just put the engine back in another FC and call it a day.

I"m pretty sure you can legally swap a newer motor into any chassis that was made befor the motor was. As long as you keep all the emissions stuff, and the motor isnt altered. And you will have to take it to a referee if you wanna get it registered.
Thanks for all the info I'm currently looking at fbs so the front cover needs to be changed due to clearence issues?
