Will not start

I just got a 1990 non-turbo and it has been starting fine until a door was left ajar and the battery died. I recharged the battery and now the car will not start. It turns over good but no go. I replaced the fuel filter thinking that may be the problem because I had an 84 and when it would not start when the fuel filter was dirty. I also primed it afterwards. I did resistance checks on the coils. I did a resistance check on the crank angle sensor. Does anyone have any ideas for me. Could the battery dying have anything to do with the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried starting it using the unflood procedures as outlined in the FAQ at the top of this section?

What I have had to do several times is to just connect jumper cables to the car from another battery and keep turning the engine over, while flooring the pedal. It has taken as long as 20 minutes, but then again I had a slow leaking injector. I connect the cables up so I don't run the battery down.
