will not idle 88nt

okay, my dad and i were putting a heater core in, we unhooked the battery took everything apart, replaced the core then put it all back, we start the car and it will not idle, its starts and goes to like 2000 but then drops to 0 and dies. we tried messing with the idle control and i drove it about 20 miles to see if it needed to relearn or something. i dont know. if ne1 has any tips they want to throw my way, pls do so, it has never done this before, just after we put the heater core in.

According to J-Rat, our ECU's can't "learn", but I have yet to see any published/ edited material to confirm or deny this...I guess we'll have to trust Rat on this one...

You probably have a vac leak, check around with her held at an "idle"...

Don't mess with the idle control if everything was working fine before the "job"- you'll just make things worse.
