Will my ports still work if I......?

I have an series V NA and when I install an intake I know I have to put breather on the airpump. My question is will my 6 ports still work, seeing how the airpump is routed to the intake box.

I'll try to get a response through this thread, since it's related....

I looked at my actuators last night on my 88 conv. They are moving quite freely, but after a spirited drive, neither one moved at all. I can hear them open properly when I move them by hand. Question is - WHAT is causing them not to open?? How are they actuated? Is my air pump acting up? If I pull a vac line, my idle changes, so I doubt it's a leak there. ARGH. No WONDER I have no power over 4K RPM!

Once I get that figured out, then I can add my intake!!

THANKS!

yours is a series 4 car. Yours are opened via back pressure from the exhaust. Do you still have the stock catalytic convertors and cat-back?

Yes, 100% stock car. Maybe my cats are clogging or ?? It's just odd that the rods move so easily on the actuators but they won't open even up to 7K rpm (and it feels like it's resisting acceleration somewhat at that point). Frustrating. I know this car is faster than this.
