will this msd work for my car?

My friend has a msd 6AL, he had it on his camaro. He said all I needed was an adapter for it to work on my 91 na. Could this work?

yes, works fine, don't think you'll need any adapter though

There are instructions at http://www.fc3s.org for installation. Be aware that you won't see hardly any gains from this mod.

I beg to differ...

Most rotaries I've seen with CDI boxes really respond well.&nbsp It's about as equivalent as slapping on a lightened flywheel in my book...

You really think Ted??? I know with piston engines where you can increase the spark plug gap, there is a decent pick up of HP, but on a Rotary where you really cant adjust the gap, there is a noticeable increase on a only minor moded car??? (air filter/cat back exhaust)

maybe it's because Ted only plays with modded T2's

Yep.
The significant gains are increased spark plug life (our spark plugs aren't cheap!), slight power gain, and slight mileage gain.

All the cars I've seen MSD's on responded very well.&nbsp In fact, I can tell the difference between a FC with or without a CDI box.&nbsp The non-CDI vehicle revs just a tad slower...

I saw no difference between my engine after I installed the Crane. Though I did not dyno the car, I'm sure there was some effect. I'm guessing that 99% of people wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I don't keep track of mileage, so I can't say that it increased or decreased. No change in my idle, nor the throttle response of my engine. Of course, that just might mean that my car was running properly before the CDI box install.

I've run into people who claim they felt nothing.&nbsp Maybe their asses are not as sensitive as mine.

Dyno runs would definitely show a slight power increase.&nbsp Of course, 1-3 hp increase is not what most people would feel anyways.&nbsp I'm one of those weird people who can tell if the TPS is misadjusted by listening to the engine rev.

Turbos get better gains, as the boost does havoc to the stock ignition.&nbsp Add richer mixtures make it even worse to light off.&nbsp Most turbos see a larger gain in power, especially at the top end where the engines tend to have ignition break-up.

Well, I'm not sure if I want to get into the subject of your sensitive ***, but as it stands I feel that for most people, 1-3HP is a slight gain. They probably won't feel it. Since this person has the box, I say "go for it". But I would never recommend someone buy an ignition box until they are already pretty highly modded...

As for the turbo ignition, I will have to remember that. This person, however, has a '91 NA.
