Will an injector cleaning fix leaking injectors?
I was planning no sending my injectors into Cruzin for some time now for a good cleaning, but I think one or more may be leaking.
The engine has alsways started up warm and cold very nicely, and runs great, but I've had the car laid-up in the garage for the last 5 days while I do body work, and I went to start it to change positions, and I had to floor the gas pedal until it would catch, and got lost in a cloud of burnt gas smelling smoke.
I've never let the car sit more then 3 days, so is it possible that the injectors have been leaking, but not too a point where it stops it from starting, or did something else odd happen? I just went out to start it now and she had no problems.
Will an injector cleaning fix the problem, or is it actually electrical?
Thanks for any help!

I started 'er up after 3 more days of inactivity, and had the same problem, but after letting it idle for 5 minutes, it finally stopped blowing smoke and started up just fine a couple of times after that. I'll try in the morning and see what happens.
Do you think having Cruzin' do his magic on them would stop the leakage, or is that something that warrants costly new injectors?
In either case, are tehre any good guides or how-tos on pulling the injectors out, and what kind of things should I look out for while I'm doing it. I've never mucked with the fuel system yet, so I'm not sure what to expect.

Sometimes injector cleaners can cause lots of problems or shut you down completely. I do however add a dose of Techroline occaisionally in a good system for maintainence (sp, its late) as the main gig with is for carbon control.

I was thinking about storing the 7 in the winters too, but after having these problems after just 7 days it scares me, lol.
