Will I run lean with this mod?

Hiya - real quick story, I have a 87 Turbo with the following mods:

tid mod
downpipe
pre silencer
ported waste gate
FCD
fuel regulator

I just want to know whether I will run lean if I also slap on my exhaust. I know the fuel regulator will increase fuel based on boost, but do I still have to get walbro - or is the current system fine for the exhaust?

thanks in advance.

what kind of exhaust is it? it depends on how "flowing" the piping is. Deffinally go for the fuel pump though.

It might be ok. Id get an egt gauge and keep an eye on it. If temps start to raise you're leaning out. Either then get an hks fcon (it gives your car a more aggressive fuel & timing map based on boost & stock readings) or an s-afc. The afc will require tuning.

all depends how much boost you are running... if you ported the WG enough then you will not.

regarding the actual exhaust: I was going to just buy a new y-pipe from racing beat, and cut a 3-4 inch section of the piping just behind the exhaust. I really want to give the impression that I do not have a modified exhaust - cause I've gotten enough tickets with those.

the fuel regulator is this one http://www.capa.com.au/vortech_fuel.htm

oh I also forgot to mention, the flapper in the turbo manifold has been removed

So I guess this is the order in which I should go about this:

1) get Walbro pump
2) get EGT and see how hot it's getting
3) get afc and tune my baby

yes. Also, port the wg and put on a diy mbc. If you just make power by boost creep its stupid, b/c you will not be at full boost as fast as you can w/ just a few hours w/ a bit and a diy boost contorller job. Then you can control it better too.
