will a ceramic packed muffler hold up to the heat?

I would like to use an edelbrock muffler in place of my cat in a 3" turbo back setup on my T2. The "resinator" I have in there now is too loud and would like to try this muffler but it says its ceramic packed not ss. Will this ceramic hold up to the high temps in that position?

IIRC the Racing Beat mufflers are stainless steel wool and ceramic packed. So I would say it will hold up as a muffler. Don't have any idea if it will hold up as a pre-silencer though.

More than likely not a problem on a turbo, but I would get an extended warrenty on the muffler if used on a N/A

"It was on a 1.3L honda... honest, I don't know what happened"

There must be some companies out there that hate rotaries
