Question Will 87 TII injectors fit my 88 GTU?

I have a TII parts car all in pieces and I wanted to know if I could use the TII injectors on my car.

Theres no reason to use TII injectors on an NA. If anything, it may hurt drivability.

What I would do is take the 550CC injectors out of the TII and put them as your secondarys on your NA providing you have alot of mods on your car untill then its no good. put a TII fule pump in and yes there is a return line that will return the access fule to the tank. You wil notice a slight hesitation when the secondarys kick in followd by a big power surge.

In N/A form there's no reason at all for tII secondaries, even with every bolt on imaginable (short of a forced induction bolt-on).

Using T2 injectors on even a street ported non turbo (well alone a stock port) will only cause you to loose HP.

The only reason to use T2 injectors on a non turbo 2ndaries would be to use with nitrous.

Nope, not even close to needing larger injectors.

I am using the stock 460cc injectors and putting out around 170 RWHP (200 or so at the flywheel).

Stock 460s are good up until around 220 FWHP.

I think there is a connector difference with the TII injectors, you might want to look and make sure. I got a set of TII injectors, which I think were from a s5 series, and was going to experiment with them on my s4. But their connectors were different, I tihnk my side of the connector was square or circular, and the injector connection fitted the opposite.

But we had ended up putting the TII injectors into a friends 89 gtus, because they fit, and he said that he felt a slight increase. We are not sure though because he has some major issues with his fuel pump and other things.

So if you're not putting down that power, then don't upgrade (you're not btw).

It's easier to point out what's wrong...

...take the 550CC injectors out of the TII and put them as your secondarys on your NA providing you have alot of mods on your car...
If you have lot's of airflow mods on your car then the airflow measured by the ECU will be higher, so it will inject more fuel by opening the injectors longer (up to a point). Putting in bigger injectors only increases the amount of fuel, not airflow. Airflow makes power, not fuel flow. A richer mixture give less power, not more.

...put a TII fule pump in...
Increasing the fuel pressure will make the whole thing even worse, by increasing fuel flow throughput the rev range. Mixtures will be even richer (less power).

...there is a return line that will return the access fule to the tank.
There is, but that won't make any difference. Increasing fuel pump pressure (with a TII pump) will result in higher fuel rail pressure, simple as that.

You wil notice a slight hesitation when the secondarys kick in followd by a big power surge.
You will notice a slight hesitation as the mixture suddenly goes rich, but you certainly won't get any power surge. You will simply have less power than you would with the stock injectors. Again, airflow has not been increased at all, only fuel flow.

Hope that helps.
