wierd starting problems....
Ok guys, im having some problems with my girlfriends 87 t2, im getting ready to rebuild and port the motor. but for the time being i need to solve this issue.
ok so heres what its doing the best i can put into words,
the car is VERY hard to start, i usually have to push start it to get it going, i've done lots of unflooding steps, and im not sure if it is flooding for sure, its cranking with no fire, once it starts its perfect it idles great and drives normally, minus the 3k stumble. i checked all the fluids and everything looks fine i changed plugs and wires, and even ran a little premix in it (that seemed to help a bit).
so im here scratchin my head, it does smoke when it does start its grayish, smells of gas and a little oil, nothing out of the normal. and im not talking like smoke you cant see through, its just a little.
as far as mods:
greddy bc
255lph pump
hks ssqv bov
and i field fuel computer ( stock settings)
i cant wait to throw a rebuilt motor in this thing and get the PFC conversion, nice single, and a few other gooddies, make it as easy as my FD to work on
