wierd idle & diagnosis

Well I was playing with my wierd idle problem just a few minutes ago and I noticed that if I pushed down on the omp control rod(or whatever it is, the rod that goes from the throttle body to the omp) that the idle would go down, Thus causing the trottle to close. When I let off on it it would go back up again. Is this expected or have I hit something here? I am thinking maybe a throttle cable is sticking or something, except then it wouldn't go back up again~~~ wierd. any other ideas?

Sounds like your OMP controll rod may be bent and it making your idle higher, do you use premix? if so try just starting the car with the OMP cintrol rod disconnected, if the idle still is funky then you need to adjust one of the idle stop screws...
