Comes from the shifter area, gets louder and i go faster(mph) not does matter if the clutch is in or out, in or out of gear, or rpms... Jacked up car and spun all tires, check it out, didn't find anything..

t2 conversion.... are you still running the NA drivetrain?

 

driveshaft u-joints ?

 

I have an s4 t2 drivetrain, complete swappage... I don't know about the u joints, I was thinking maybe that shield on the driveshaft that goes over the output shaft on the tranny...

 

u joints.. that would be my guess on shifter area, the front u joint is right there.


what kind of noise is it?

 

Its a spinning sounds that gets LOUD, sheez...

It was the sleeve on the U-joint that slips over the tail shaft on the tranny.. It was crushed down a little. I had to "drive the car" on jackstands...
