widest wheels on convertible?

widest wheels on convertible?

Will be able to put 17x8 and 17x9 wheels on my 91 convertible? I'm getting them from a friend that has it on his 89 tll. Thanks.

yeah, it feels like 800 lbs with an automatic like mine but i think its more like 300 so not too bad. but have no doubt the vert is sloooow

Why are they verts heavier? With a cloth vs. metal roof you'd think they'd weigh less. Does the rest fo the body have more bracing to make up for the lack of roof or something like that?

Yes, most all cars that are convertable are heavier due to the reinforced chassis, and other little things. Convertable top motors, etc.

yep, that's one thing. i found lots of underbracing stuff when i was tearing down my 91 vert.
