I do have the original Tripoint nose (smaller open frontal area) which I plan on using for Drag Racing and perhaps some high speed stuff. However, I do not forsee that in the near term .The focus right now is ensuring the reliability of car. The car was completely apart for a year, so checking every nut bolt, and wire is where I am at today.

The price above assumes you do at least half the work yourself, and is for a completed car(mine is not done). 13B Drifter, I love a stock bodied FC as well, but I needed enough tire to hook alot of HP on the road course. Eventually I will make it to over 500rwhp, but that is in the future right now, I am showing a body combo that no one has done yet. The RE Super G is the closest I have seen, and that is a shop car. I built, and painted this in my home garage with only the knowledge acquired on the forums as a guide. I wish I could have made SS7, I would have liked the Japanese press to se this car, I guess it's better they see it when it is finished in, and out... Carl
All the more power to you, my friend. I have a great deal of respect for the amount of effort (blood, sweat, tears, know-how, time and money) that you are putting into this project. I look forward to seeing the end results, although I must say that the car is looking amazing. Also, your continued updates are mucho appreciated.
Personally, after I dial in my suspension (which is the first thing I do when I start modding), I will also be going for power mods--likely in the 400+rwhp range. And, like you, I plan to road race the car (like I tell my 1/4 miler friends, the steering wheel is there for a reason ).
After all that's done, I will work on the body--namely, getting rid of all the rust, dings and dents and a new coat of paint. My car will not look as good as yours, but hey, I'm good looking enough for both my car and me :P

Mariah can only dream of looking this good The widebody is a love it/hate it thing with regards to looks. This car was built for function, so while I am pleased that most like the looks, it is a secondary consideration. Regards, Carl

Carl, nice race car! I feel boned now. I am on the same fantasy ride as you. FC with widebody, track/drag/drift car, big horsepower with as good reliability as you can get form a tweeked Wankel. A car to scare moms and kids out there.
Gorgeous custom work on the body. Good luck balancing the aero though. I haven't had much luck with big wings and small front down force. Hope your splitter and front diffuser work better than my attempts in the past (tuning FDs for track use).
Can't wait to hear the preformance (on track that is) numbers. It will give me a bogey to shoot for.
Good luck with the fun part, turning wheels in anger!!!

F___ YOU to all the haters. Man you did a awesome job with that car. like some peeps said, a 10+ year old car to become a sexy *** beast like that is what makes me and others strive to keep the rx-7 a car for the ages. I hope your Supra project goes as planed, that machine is also a work of art. hopefully in about 2 years I'll have my 7 in a awe, jaw droping state as yours........
