just for the record

saying "some type of glue the bodyshops use" VERY VERY WRONG!
saying "proper adhesive" that is totally correct you can't get much more clear than that

could you spell check that for me i have to get my sub-intelligent stubborn *** to my $24/hour job
A $24 an hour job means nothing, so of the most retarded people in the world get paid more than the actual people that do the work, and besides at really is not that much money in most parts of this country. I make more than that here just driving a dozer for a coal company so please do not drag this thread down into "OMG i make more than you, but im still a dumb ***" kinda thread, it really makes you seem immature and unintelligent.

lol thanks for the updates and rants.

I found a local body shop supply in Trenton Nj that had the 3M panel bonding kit in stock. Ill post a picture of it when i get home. The rear fenders are fiberglass and came from www.raceonusa.com. One of the best companies i have worked with so far. Ill also add pics of the install as it progresses.

The total plan for attaching the fenders is goign to be alignment, predrill fenders and rear quater, then rivit the fender in place as the bonding sets, grind off the rivit heads so the thickened shank still holds with the bonding agent, fiberglass fill and blend then paint.

hope it comes out good.

Sorry - had to. Sounds like a good plan. Whatever prep the give I would take very seriously. Sometimes adhesive needs more of a mechanical bond than a chemical bond to properly adhere

Nice widebody !

Ya i just got done molding my gp sports kit, skirts and everything no body lines. Just started to mold in cs over fenders. Its all basics really , just grab some half inch sheet metal screws that are flat and wide at the end, screw em in and then grab your self some "DURA GLASS" 1 application is all you need with this stuff has great thickness and coverage.

To top it all off your gonna have to hit it with at least 2 or 3 thin coats of good quality body filler (premium) then 1 or 2 coats of glaze wich is flexible. You will sand most of the body filler and glaze off of the car so it seriously wont be more than quarter inch ..
