I've seen the fenders riveted on before. I think it looks good. For sheer "oohs and ahhs" though, a molded fender would definitely be great.

Santo has the RE Amemiya replica front end. I don't think he has foglights. Contact Ken at Shine Auto Project for the nose.

I enjoy helping people too. What I cannot stand is people coming onto these forums and posting out of thier ***. That's what he's doing. He doesn't have any body shop experience, he doesn't know the products, he doesn't know whats involved. I have some body experience, not as much as others here but I have completely repainted my car so I have much more hands on experience than him. Glue it on and blend it in? Why bother posting. As I said before - he never went into any details with the prep, the blending, anything. Glue it on and blend it in..... wow.

[QUOTE=F.C.3S;7651679]Here you go coming all female again...What does that have to do with anything? The TII hood was a figure of speech, an example. And you still sound like a bragging 16 year old.

Not bragging, making a point that was obviously missed.

I find that needing to stand to post so it all flows out much more irrating than bickering. I find the bickering entertaining. What drives me insane are the kids that post up about **** that they know nothing about. 2 Examples

Q: What size wheel spacer to I need to adapt an FD wheel to an FC?
A: I dunno, just keep stacking spacers until they fit.

Now I think we can all agree that the above advice is dangerous and the poster - rotaman99, should have just NOT answered as opposed to giving wrong advice. That BOTHERS me because for all he knew it could have been a kid who just kept hitting F5 until someone responded, read the post, shut his computer down and went out and bought 100 2.5mm spacers because he wanted to put his new wheels on.

Another was

Q: What is the best way to attach the -6 bung fittings to my fuel rail
A: Solder them on, yeah, soldering can work.

Just really dangerous as the answerie if you will was referring to brazing and not soldering. When he linked the thread where he learned about it and realized his error, he promptly apologized.

See where I'm going? I don't think I am an internet bully out to serve the greater good of the rotary community but when I see a bullshiter or someone who should be branded as one, I will call them on it and try to bring some attention to it. Just like that whole Max C/O thread that got shut down and a few people banned I belive. I think Max is pulling a real bullshit marketing scheme so I decided to call him on it and the drifter vs auto-x flame war began. Plus I'm generally just an old cranky guy anyway, far from 16.

naw, they have material that supposedly helps avoid that and still allows you to make a nice bond.

Just rivet them on.

Actually it would be the other way around. The guys who mold there fenders aren't the whiney bitches that are so worried about molding cracking that they make their car butt ugly by riveting them on instead.

I'm more of a reactive grumpy old man. If someone wants to lay down some valid points and have a discussion/debate, that's GREAT with me. However, when he comes at me all mad tyte immature style yo with comments like
your dumb....... i know the american edjemacation systems is fails but common ceralicly
I get thrown into a dimension of pissed off from which it is hard to escape. I mean come on, common... just wow.

Merry Christmas - What did Santa bring you? A retard posting to point & laugh at!

FC3Sdrfit - DIAF. Go away. Fade into a sea of nothing. Long walk, short pier. Whatever the case may be you are wrong, we all know you are wrong. You are the type of person I like to make fun of. If paint and body work isn't that hard, post up some pics of work that you've done yourself without your uncles help. Shall I continue? I've found that stupidity affects 4 out of 5 drifters and you are dumber that the 4 previous mentioned combined. DIAF, please just shut the **** up and cease to post inm this thread. YOU ARE WRONG! End of discussion. If you had anything between your legs you would wrap your tail around it and stop posting. Instead you just come back and dig your grave deeper.

DIAF = Die in a fire? lol

IMO paint and body is easy. I've done a fair share of it restoring my buddies jeep which I did 90% of the bodywork and the metal fab. I painted it too, but my teacher sprayed the clear...btw only paint defects were a finger print of mine which I left on purpose lol...and the hose touched an area because I sneezed..I fixed that though. NOW I've gotta do it all over on my FC, this time I'm gonna document it and take before, during and after pics.

And so I'm not spamming...I'd like to get a set of those quarter panels and fenders for myself. How much did they cost?

Our front fenders are from Shine. The rear quaters you can pretty much get anywhere doing a google search. No matter where you get the rears from, chances are they're going to fit like crap. However, with your knowledge of bodywork, you shouldn't have any problems at all. Just a little trimming here and there and some added material and you'll be good.

Awesome, sounds good. Believe me, the word JEEP in my sentence tells you how much work we did...all because of my best friend and his stupid sentimental value to that rusted broken down piece of ****...which we (mostly me) turned into a very nice machine.

I'm glad rotors don't have pistons...that way Carquest can't send you oversized rod bearings by accident...then you gotta wait for the correct ones.

I was also wondering if you could buy metal widebody panels from those companies...that way I don't have to worry about rust or cracking.
