Why wont my car star in the morning?

I have a new battery and my alternator's been checked and it's fine. It all started when I was fighting with my girlfriend and I went in to the liquor store to get another 40. I took my keys in because I know she's very childish. But she had my extra set of keys. So she went joyriding. Not far, just enough to make me walk home(about 1/4 mile) in the rain. Well, on the way home, she lost control on the slick street and hit a telphone poll. Nothing major but she did hit it on the side where the batter is. Very close. Well, since then, I need a jump in the morning and then it starts good and strong all day. What do you think my problem is?

i had the same problem in a 88 GTU. Just farked the wiring to the starter up a bit... so check your wires and make sure they're tight on the starter...
Unless you mean your battery is dead in the morning... in that case yes, you did **** the batt up and you need a new one... unless there's a short somewhere draining it.

Did she do any damage near the headlight? If the headlight was moved out of position at ALL, then the motor will try to pull it down constantly and it will drain the battery in the process. Just something else to check.

^^ couple whacks with a BFH?

It's either the headlight thing or a short somewhere.

Next time pull the EGI fuse.

i think i would have lost it if my girlfreind did that lol, or at least went back to get a 3rd 40. but anyway, what kind of battery do you have? if its a gell cell then that should not be the problem but if its just a normal sealed battery i would suggest trying a new one to see if it still wont start in the morning

Well this is Pckrkt's girlfriend and if you had someone like this guy in your life you would have done the same thing....Trust me!! But its just a regular sealed battery and we already bought a new one and the same thing was happeneing. The left headlight is stuck up in the air. And this disaster is not funny either. I was really scared and yes I know I shouldn't have taken the car in the first place. Someone just help us figure out what is wrong with the car. During the day when it's not idle for more than a few hours it starts up fine, but after being left over night it has no power to start in the morning!!
