Why remove air pump and ACV?

I am a little bored. I am wondering why people remove air pump and ACV. Does it give more hp or what? Does it alter emission output?

It means no emissions, easier to throw flames, less weight, and a cleaner looking engine bay. I took mine off months ago, and never looked back.......Oh, it also means no cats or auxillary ports, both need the air pump system to work. And finally, it means 0 power below 3k...
