Ok I've never had air in my FC but dang...it's that time of the year where I nearly melt on my way to work and back. Anyone know a good cheap way of getting some kind of cooling system or anything?

 

You ac doesnt work? or there just isnt any ac componets in your car?

Race car style: Get a piece of 3 inch hose, cut a hole in the window, and run the hose from the hole to your face. Or just drive fast with the windows down. I live in Texas w/ no A/C. It makes me feel like a bad ***.

 

Get a car with A/C.

 

i remember seeing an A/C in some magazine that was water powered and looked like a bazooka tube

 

i a/c pump works. I hear it click in when i press the button but i dont get any cold air

 

Does it torn on, then immedaitely off? Sounds like you need some freon to me.

 

happen to know the cost of that? Whatever it is...it's worth it. I'm dyin over here.

 

SCC used it in their One-Lap car. I'd find the issue, but all of my magazines are 1000 miles away from me.

 

dang...if anyone knows any more about that, I'd like to hear about it.

 

I took all the A/C components out of my car, then I bought a cheap everyday driver that only had A/C. LOL When it is hot, I drive the little car, when it is bearable, I drive the 7.

The one SCC used attached to the outside of the car on the passenger's side window, and used the air from the car's motion to push the cooler air inside the car. I think I like the ones I linked better, since you can use them in the city and they don't make your car look strange.

 

they are selling a complete A/C kit on ebay check into it!!!!! As for low freon I switched to the new stuff for around 50.00 bucks its simple and works great.

 

How long has your new stuff been in.
I asked an AC shop to price the 134 retrofit for my 91. They said >$200??

 

You can put factory A/C in your car for $300.00. Mazdasurplus sells the entire system (brand new, factory components) for $250.00 plus you have to pay their $50.00 processing fee.

I have to check to see if my air condition works (It's in Fla, NY here).
