Why is this posted in here? :P

It looks like you're using that coupler on a bend?
Big no-no if you are...especially with that kinda boost levels you're running at.

Yea, it does look kina like it had been under some stress from being bent, which makes the failure a lot less surprising.

It was a 45 Degree reducer, so it was made to bend.. It failed at about 25 PSI>

... more like why not to use silicone couplers in bends.

I assume that I do not need to bother with the physics lesson due to the obvious results of your unintentional experiment, lol.

Nah, doesn't matter...especially so with the boost you're running.

I bet it broke on the "hot" side of the intake prior to the intercooler?

I was told NEVER to use any couplings for ANY bends.
Always use bent pipes for all the bends, and always use straight couplings to connect the pipe sections.

OBX = ****
Always been and always will be.
Samco uses 3 ply, and OBX uses 5 ply on their hoses.
I wonder why they have more, probably because they think
it will somehow be alot more durable?

well an OBX coupler doesn't help, but yeah ideally you want all your pipes as close as possible and flush-fitting to prevent leaks or prevent the piping from blowing off

And what's with the worm clamp????

Doesn't airflow pressure increase at bends? Maybe thats why they say not to use couplers at bends?
