Why no EGR valve on S5?
Ok, so the S4s have the EGR valve... but the S5s do not.
My sole reason for asking is I'm running a s4 motor on a s5 ecu/body. It run fine, but I'm just worried about emissions. And just for curiousity why they got rid of it.

I Did this exact swap. I kept all the emission systems and used all of them. I replaced the S4 EGR valve with a blockoff that I oredred from Racing beat.

I had found out that the pre-cat was melted. The main one looked okay. I replaced the catalytic converters to end up getting the car to pass GCAP testing. It did very well.

I hope this answers any questions. If you have more then let me know. I can walk you through it.
By the way I think someone needs to archive a thread pertaining to this engine swap.
