Why does my engine sound like this? *video*

I took this video on a crappy 3.2MP digicam (kodak)... so the sound quality is not the best, but it will have to do.

I have no cat, no presilencer... pretty much straightpiped from the turbo back. I'm not sure if this sound is normal or not. My oil level is full.

Sorry for the quicktime format, but it's the best I can do at the moment

Yeah I thought it was an exhaust leak too.. just wanted to confirm. I'm more of a couch mechanic than an actual one, so I'm not too big on self-diagnosis.

What are some ways to find the source of this exhaust leak?

dont try this......but:

i was thinking; in order to find an exhaust leak, you cant really stick your hand down in there and try to fel it because its sooo hot and because it might get caught on something, but what if you premixed some gas with some flourecent dye or ink or something so that you can see the a flourecent glow under a black light?

could that work?

The way i used to do it is wait until a cold morning and start it up and see where the steam is coming from. Ya know like what comes out of your mouth. Is it cold enough in the mornings up there yet to try that? Your best bet is probably just to get it up on a lift at an exhaust shop or something.

get a bottle fill it up with a water and soap solution and watch for bubbles....very simple.. My guess is where the downpipe and turbo meet.
