I'm picking up an 87 Base 7 for 150 bucks. She isn't the best thing to look at but she drives extremely smoothly. I ran a carfax on it for the hell of it and noticed that it says that the engine is a 1.3L Rotary Turbo FI. I've checked all the vins on the car and they all match the one on the title so its pretty weird. This car is as base as base gets. I know it doesn't say this for all 7's because my current NA is just listed as a 1.3L Rotary FI.

 

It goes by the fact that they were all turbo in Japan. It doesn't account for other countries besides the place of origin. I've never seen one that didn't say turbo, even verts. Your other NA must have some defining factor in the VIN. Both mine, 86 and 87, came up as turbos.
