would a header be THAT loud if....

I am planning on getting a header, but keeping it emissions legal so Im gonna also have a high-flo cat, and Im gonna have a resonator before the cat. If I go with a quieter cat-back, like a RB, would the exhasut still be extremely loud?? I dont mind a little noise, in fact I like a deeper , louder exhaust note, but I dont wanna get a headache while driving, because I often take the car for like a 2 hour road trip. Just wonering, because most people that have a header have a race pipe and a louder cat-back, like the N1. So with my cat, resonator, and mufflers, It should be considerably quiter. What do you guys think??

Yas. But be ready for either a lot of custom welding in your dreive way, or paying a shop to do it. There are no header to cat boltup kits for the RB header. If you really care sbout emissions and sound, just stick w/ the Bonez unit you have.

well, I was gonna the custom welding myself. I was gonna hack up the bonex unit I have and use the presilencer and cat from there, and weld it up to the header. So that doesnt really bother me, I was just concerned about really high noise levels.

It will still be a little loud, but with that much moise reduction, it will not flow any better than your current setup.

well technically it really wont be any different than my current system, only a header instead of the stock manifold. I am planning on a supercharger setup, so kinda want to have the most flow possibeh while still maintaining drivability and keeping it legal. Again, dont care about moderately elevated noise levels, just dont wanna wake the neighbors or give myslelf a headache. So your saying itll probably still be pretty loud huh?? Well, maybe ill try it out, if its too much I can always go back to what i have now. Thanks

W/ a SC, I can see you justifying the header. I have the header, presilencer, and N1 muffler, so mine is basically straight through. With the stuff you want to run, it sould be fine.
