Why does a bov sound differ car to car?

Hey guys, well as most of you guys know, I am having a BOV problem with my RFL. So my buddy has a 240sx with a Sr20 swap with stock turbo with the same BOV, and when he revvs it in neutral, it is LOUD, so today I wanted to make sure that my RFL was bad (the diaphragm). So we put his on mine, and it definitely worked, but not nearly as loud as his? I dont care about the sound at all. But why does it differ when switched to car?
I know before I hooked up my FMIC my boost gauge would read -20 vaccum, and ever since I put my FMIC, it has been reading -10. These readings are at idle. Would that be why the BOV is not as loud? Or because I have a 60trim turbo compared to his stock, I believe a T25 turbo? Or both? Or is it just different car to car?

It is differant car to car, but my question would be why are you only reading 10 vacuum instead of 20, the FMIC shouldn't have affected that....

Might be the actual BOV itself. Not too familiar with the RFL design, but the SSQV have different inserts which do effect the sound.

SR has a smaller turbo which can build boost more easily in neutral.

if your idle is high then your gonna read a lower(closer to 0) vacuum. Also check for vacuum leaks.
