Why do stance coilovers do this?

They're rubbing the inside of the hub?

It is, and it's on the inside... I'm thinking about just grinding on the inside of the hub to clearance it. It just needs like 2mm at most to clear.

My Tein HA's do the same thing. I just turned them around and they clear by milimeters. I dont know if that will work with the stance coilovers though. Try and space them with a couple washers and a longer bolt?

I installed stance's on a customers car, didn't have this issue.

Are you sure they're on the proper sides? I recall we had to switch ours around because the offset on the bottom mount of rear struts was different for each side.

edit: nvm looked at the pics again it seems the longer portion of the spacer is in the correct spot. I dunno what to say, ours didn't rub?

I had the same issue, but only on the left side. I just put a washer in on each side to space them out a bit.

Your mounting bolt washer is on backwards also. Not going to make a difference, but just thought Id point that out.

use the oem washers on the inside and buy two new ones to use on the outsides.

I just used a washer as mentioned above to space them out so they don't touch anymore. But I had the problem on both sides. It's not quite as bad as the rear of the car is set lower, but then if you run more negative camber by replacing the camber links with adjustables it gets worse again... I think grinding the hub down just a bit would work but spacing it out with a washer does the trick.
