why are all my warning lights on?

i just bought a 91 fc with a freshly rebuilt motor a couple weeks ago and all my warning lights on the center dash lit up today. im just finishing up my break in period and am also running a premix on the gas. the cats have alot of white smoke comming off the exterior(maybe a leak), but i dont feel any differance in engine power. there is a sound almost like a poping sound that happened a couple times, but it dosent happen very often. oil preasure is fine, coolant is fine,no smoke pouring out of the mufflers. can you give me some idea of whats going on?

If i had a nickle for every time all of my warning lights went on while on the road.

I'd have about $1.60

No, see the idiot lights come on where there is not power on the lead on S5 models or when there is ground on the lead on S4 models.

So over charging would be neither no power or ground. It would be too much power.

Now I suppose that too much power could burn out the board, causing the no power reading on a S5 model.

But then you have more problems than just a bad clock/warning panel.

I would call a busted belt, a disconected alternator...

But yes, some people think when the word disconnected is used that it is just the power connections, and not the mechanical connections as well as the power connections, so thanks for helping clarify my answer.

Use a battery charger and Charge the battery up..and make sure the Connections on the battery are Correct(polarity wise)..BOTH when you hook up the battery In the car,And when You charge the Battery..Now if the car is crankin over and it won't start..Most likely it's flooded..So Search Forums/Deflooding procedure/Enter.

did the flood trick, nothing. jumped the car, didnt work. we were able to push start the car and left it on for a while, and turned it off. then it wouldnt start again.

You know the only time the battery is being charged is when the voltage is above 13.5 volts???

Like when the engine is running.
