Who's has 18's on their FC?

Who's has 18's on their FC? I would like to know rim sizes and tire sizes and if you have pics post them please! I autocross with my FC, would 18's be too big???? One other thing I would like to go with 8.5"- 9" wide on the rear and 7.5"- 8" on the front.

List of suspension upgrades on my 90 GXL:

KYB AGX adjustable shocks
Suspension Techniques Springs (not progressive)
Eibach Sway Bars
Tein Front Camber Plates
Energy Suspension Polyurethane Bushings

Thanks

18" wheels = slow, poser.

nothing like throwing away 10-20 RWHP by bolting on heavy 18" wheels.

come on mark..not everyoen goes for HP...rx7's look good with 18's...I have 18's and my car is not slow...I race 911's and M3's and I dont lose...I even want to go with 19" next summer when prices for tires come down. There is a nice 3 piece set that I want...
also, the 18" rim question has been asked many times...can't belive I am telling him to use the SEARCH function

My brother just put a set of the 18" RX8 wheels on his 87 TII w/ the Corksport 30mm FD wheel spacers. Tire size is 225/45/18. Check it out...

you must be right..that is why the new 911 has 18" or 19" and the best brake distance ever..even better then the enzo...look atthe rx8, it has 18 and braking is among the best
18" are STANDARD among all top of the line sports cars these days...19" are up and coming....but then you knew that...and I have more than enough HP to make up for the 18" I have.

I run 14.08 in a 1/4 mile with 235/35/18 front and 265/35/18 rear.

And later i run 14.44 with 225/50/16 front and rear bbs, i have problems with my suspensions full coilover no transfer the power to ther rear wheels, and wheels 16" are small.

exactly ... these days .. just like you said... a stock 86-92 model will have 14" 15" or 16" rims going any bigger hurts braking distance and really increases weight

i hate when people think that 18 inch wheels wont slow them down, THEY DO! strap on a set of 16's and feel the difference. 18's are mainly for the bling bling factor, not the performance factor. altho many supercars have 18-19 inch wheels that is because they ARE supercars. most are putting down 400hp or more. many japanese companies refuse to make wheels over the 18 inch mark because it hurts the perfomance. just my 0.02

they don't slow you down, they speed you up....

if you get a nice set of light weight 18" wheels it raises the length of each gear, which in turn reduces acceleration over the stock size wheels.

i'm going with 17X8" wheels, i like a car to look nice and perform well.

watch the flaming or you will find yourself on a vacation from this board.

We ban for flaming, mods or otherwise. If you have something to say you best not be doing so in such an inflamitory way to any member here!

and taking my mod hat off for a second:

I guess I must have hit home if the comment about being a poser made you so angry. Do you think your genitalia are bigger too?

I have a set of Racing Hart CR 18x7.5" on my car. I dont think it looks bad at all. I would just like someone to explain to me WHY the braking distance is increased.

And the first one of you that says its because the wheel is bigger. try to take into account that a 225/40r18 tire is .1" larger than a 185/70r14 tire... oh stock size.. what what
