Exclamation Lowering springs is not the way to go.. at least not on the vert

The reason why i wouldnt go with a lowering spring is because i have a 1988 Vert that ifyou didnt know weights 3,485 lbs and as it is the suspension is a bit stiffer and beefier.. so i took off the lowering springs and sold them... I found that going to a stock spring height actually gave me a more comfortable ride and I also got aftermarket Monroe Gas Struts which are better and not to forget that by lowering you affect the camber, toe in , toe out and a sleu of other suspension problems. Keep in mind that i live in Miami so the streets here dont have potholes .. imagine going over some of those with a lowered suspension.. its not comfortable.. but now if you are the all out Poser Racer that has to have a race car then sure lower the suspension and race on a track but keep it off the streets man!

i was gonna comment on that too....cant imagine what profiles u guys are gonna run with those 18/19....if u do live in a place where there are no pot holes and the roads are perfectly paved..let me know..i wanna move there....

also a comment about 18/19 inches being heavier than 17 inch rims...sure they might not be much of a difference on a scale....but u also gott keep in mind where the majority of the weight is located on the rims itself......dont believe me?...find a spinning bar stool and grab 2 dumbbells, 10-15lbs works best, now sit on the stool and hold out ur arms straight out....now try to use ur feet to rotate urself on the stool....now try that same experiment with the weights closer to u...(bend ur arms slightly....) it takes less energy to get spinning when the weights are closer to u.....idealy u want the weights right on the axis or rotation...(u hugging the weights) but thats impossible in rim applicaitions....the difference in energy calculates into the HPs u'll lose in just the difference in wheel choices....then u think about accelerating the car and the effects of the weight is even more noticable......(i think this is what most guys are trying to get across) also im gonna guess u'll be driving at a "above normal" speeds on the freeway....now assuming ur holding the weights straight out.....spin urself so everything u're seeing is blurry...now stick ur feet on the ground and try to stop urself..(without help from another person).....

IMO.....use the 18s for street if u like....but if u want to autox where u need lots of repeated burst of accel/decel then i'd go with a smaller rim choice....
