Wink Who's Faster???

Who is fsater, the 13b fuel injected 1st gen or the N/A (only) 13b's (S4 and S5) 2nd Gens?? Sorry I was not sure where to post this, and I think the 13b 1st gen people follow some of these threads. I own one of each and I think the 1st gen is about a 1/2 second quicker (g-tech Pro).

I not sure but the g-tech Pro has more error probability than the regular g-tech due to the fact u have to enter the exact vehicle weight and rpm range....I've had lots of experience with them...the regular g-tech is about a .7 secs off---where the Pro ranges depending on your inputs.....the track is the real way of telling!!!!!
just my $0.02!!

My rather modded '88 'vert can take my best boy's GSL-SE with an intake and no emmission crap. Maybe because I have a little more experience driving rotaries or maybe the extra mods. Dunno which, but my 13b get's to the finish line before his 1st gen 13b. Just my experience.

there is no way that chart is accurate. a 89 GTU is slower in qtr mile than a 86 GXL. give me a break. the GTU is lighter with 15 more hp stock. some one better do more research.

Yeah, some of these #s looks suspect..

Anyway the GSL-SE 1st gen is the fastest NA RX-7.. it was the fastest until the TII came out.

I believe the GSL-SE was ~15.9, that part does seem right..

Stock vs. stock... GSL-SE should be faster because they are a lot lighter than pretty much any 2nd-gen. But it would probably come down to the driver because there is also a power difference too.

GSL-SE...bad little cars. They are the Turbo II and GTUs of the 1st gen world.
