yes the NA AFM will work but I would replace it soon after the car runs. The t2 wireing harness is needed, along with all the other stuff that Rat stated. don't get intimated by the wiring it's NOT hard, well not much harder than doing a normal NA enigne rubuild.

The wiring that comes on jspecs is differnt than the harness for US cars so don't try to use it as a guide because you, like me will be extremly confused.

btw-it cost me about $1650 for a s4 I will be selling off the NA parts to recoup some money so I would say about $1000 when it's all said and done.

If I remember correctly, the underdash harness is definitely different between NA and TII cars.

IMO the stock boost gauge is worthless and I'd rather have the volt meter there.

cool i was wondering about this same subject.
Can you guys possibly direct me to exactly what needs to be done like i mean absolutly everything, costs and such. Sonic did a good job posting the stuff but i think he said he missed a few things? Anyway anyone know of a websight or a link that tells us exactly what to do that would be awsome.

I've hit 8500 in my swap, and my roommate has hit an official (recorded via S-AFC) 9400RPM in his ridiculous 10AE

They will rev higher than 8k, although it quickly looses power and becomes very inefficient.

As far as the gauge cluster harness, I believe it is part of the main under dash harness. Doing the TII swap in the S5 was incredibly easy. The only reason I would swap an entire harness and drivetrain would be to boost a vert.

I think you could put the cluster inand just have the stock boost guage not do anything, changing the dash harness is a bitch, it goes from under the dash(dash removel) all the way to the cylinoids by the hood latch. I would rather just shift the car at 7k

Uhmm... good for you! (there, now you've got a comment!)

But no, I don't see anything wrong with a low compression, low HP, normally aspirated.... wait a second.......

So, uhmm... why? (reliability, cost...?)

Converting my Turbo motor to N/A for a few days. The stock exhaust manifold is extremely restrictive, and the more nitrous oxide I run, the less horsepower it actually makes.

Thus, to win some races for money, I'm gonna ditch the turbo set up, and duct the afm to the intake elbow, and run an N/a stock header and race pipe.

I'm gonna guess 100 flywheel hp from the 4 port motor motor, no boost. Then add BIG nitrous shots....

Ask any TII owner. That boost gauge is worthless. I would much prefer a Tach that revved higher and a volt meter to boot. Keep the stock gauge cluster!
