Unhappy "Mazdas are chinsy"

My friend is getting $20,000 for a car and he wants a fast one. I said look at rx7's. So we get all talkin about it and then he asks his dad, and his dad says this.... "Why dont they have rotary engines in all cars?" "Mazda's are chinsy" GG rich brainwashed european car family.

So then I said what about like a WRX, and hes like all japanese cars suck. I mean I know europe has some impressive sports cars, but none for under $20,000 that are better than an rx7

dont let him get an RX7 either, he'll kill it. Probably wreck it within a week. Get a c4 vette and mod it out if you want to go fast. We wont miss c4 vette's if he wrecks it.

I hate it when people get stuff handed to him. I think its great when parents help out their kids. As long as its just helping them out with PART of the cost, and the kid works for the rest of it, and earns the old fasioned way.

I had the money to pay for mine. But when I was about to hand the cash to the guy my Dad pulled $800 out of his pocket and paid the guy. I pay for everything else in the car.

I'm buying a new clutch tomorrow and plan on buying a new engine and transmission to rebuild soon...just for fun.

"i hate kids being handed them stuff"

HOLD ON-

I am only 19, and I drive an rx7. My father gave me the car, as it was his before. I do not pay for the insurance, nor do I pay for repairs. Does this make me spoiled? Come on, I dont pay for the stuff, because I can't afford it. If I could, I would be paying for it. I still respect the privilege. I do not abuse the car, nor do stupid stuff in it. I know what the heck I am doing, even though I don't pay for the car. I know you are going to be referring to me as a "stupid teenager". Chill with the stereotypes, we are not all stupid, dumb, naive, and spoiled. I may be going over the edge with this, but think about it.

All teenagers are stupid. I know because I just finished being one. I drove a 1986 Cavalier through high school because it was all I could afford. I had to pay for everything, but then my dad paid for college. I just think that it's foolish for parents to spend 20 G's on a car for their kids and then leave them to fend for themselves after they finish highschool. Next year when I get out of college I'll be able to buy whatever car I want.

Gotta disagree here. First of all, he didn't pay $30k unless he took a shot in the *** on the price. My bro has a WRX and I have an 87TII. Even on a good running day, mine keeps pretty damn even with his, and mine's modded. His is bone goddam stock. Those cars are impressive and I don't know about claiming to "smoke" a "$30k" car when stock for stock the WRX is faster and modded, they're pretty damn disgustingly quick too. If I had the money, I'd consider ditching my 15 yr old Rx7 for a WRX or something comparable. That way I could drive around with three of my closest friends and laugh when whoever buys my car blows an engine and there's four of us laughing at him. Sorry... had to get that out.

hell yeah justin !

BTW, I have 4 months of "teenager" left. Included in that time period...

1) No tickets, or infractions of any kind.
2) No accidents, besides the Lexus that I nicked when he cut me off, no damage to either car (except a black scuff from my bumper on his white bumper )
3) A well running '86 Rx7 with 258,000 miles, (rebuilt at 200,000) not a single scratch (including from those idiots at shopping plazas who enjoy denting peoples doors).

Now I will ask again, is that why all teenagers are stupid??

Im glad your parents are paying for your college. When I wanted a car, I got told to buy my own (funny I picked a tii huh.. lol). When my school fees come around, I get told to pay my own. I WISH I got to be a stupid teenager. Paying bills since you were sixteen sucks ***.

My first car was given to me at 13, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air, and let me tell you, it's cost me more than the car's I bought ever will Though, every other vehicle I own (6 at the moment) I've bought and paid for myself, including insurane, titles, plates, gas, etc. But I was definatly a dumb teenager!

yes, most teenagers are stupid( believe me I know, i'm 19) but I love my car, and will probably spend more money on it in it's lifetime than anyone else would ever dream it to be worth. if you love your car( especially if you paid for it yourself like I have) then I can't bash you no matter what you get or what you do to it. I have a feeling that some people on the forum will call mine ricey when i post pics, but that's just their opinion, and while I respect it, it's my opinion of the car that counts (embarking on an almost full restoration of a totaled 7 is pretty cool in my opinion)

if you aren't a little stupid when you are a teenager, you really missed out. I made some mistakes, but I have a heck of a lot of stories to tell.

Okay....Mike...chill out dude. First off...I'm only 16 myself.

As you know...you're not part of the stereotype I was referring to, b/c you respect your car, and appreciate your car. I was referring to snotty brats who get brand new cars (like '01 land rovers and mercedes) and dont have to pay for anything on them. Dont even pay for their gas, dont work to help pay or even offer to help pay for them. Obviously, you're not one of those snotty brats. You appreciate your car, and I respect you for that...you take care of what has been given to you. You are a rare kind my friend, very rare.

yeah the Bel-Air is pretty awesome and tough too. i have a friend who's grandmother drove one through her house and didn't even ruin the paint job on it. She completely destroyed the house though .

i've got both a wrx and an rx7. Love them both. Must say that the reason i bought the seven was because the wrx wasn't going to be the beast i wnated it to be for the amount of money i am willing to spend to make it a race car killer. The seven is going to be a track/street deamon. the wrx has such a nice powerband though and it justs rams through the air at 100+ where as the seven jsut slips through. two different beasts and i like them both but right now the wrx will hand it to the seven.

hmmm

i dunno about a wrx ramming a seven....my 89 turbo with just intake and a midpipe and a poor compression motor pulled 1.5 cars on a new wrx from 75-110.

Their quick, but hardly a match for a turbo rx7 with just a 50 dollar intake and a 50 dollar midpipe.

I don't like them. You would think the performance would be a little better...... My 15 year old car stock vs stock is 100 dollars worth of mods off to kick ones ***...

hehe...I just feel like being an *******....

LOVE FOR RX-7'S BABY!!!!
