my n/a is a 91 gxl it has a header 2.5 inch piping all the way to the back no cats free flowing mufflers magnaflow and the tb mod and minor porting to the intakes .

the gsl fisrt gen we know its a 12 a carburated with jetted needles no cats stuck piping it may be ported not sure thus the car is owned by a puerto rican guy
we all know what the people from puerto rico is capable off then again i am also puerto rican

Well, gonna drill out the broken studs, then heli-coil the other 2 holes. My neighbor is gonna help me, so Rotary Gods willing, I will have my baby back by next weekend!!!!! I haven't even SEEN her is a MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if the first gen is ported he'll kill u.. if he's puerto rican like me.. with an rx7... he probably knows his stuff.. and is not just runnin needle jets.. but is probably running some stuff on the side.... i think he would take u tho

 

I agree, if he has a ported engine, carefull.

LOL this reminds me of one time when we were at the track in a group and when one guy saw 9 and 10 second RX-3' and Rotary Datsuns he said " MAN how the hell do they get rotaries to go so fast?" and soem of us replied "Put a Puerto Rican under the hood!"

 

The FB's also lighter than your FC, so he'll have a bit of an extra edge there...

Be cautious on what you may wager. I don't know how my 80 would stack up against your car, with it being an S5, but it has always managed to be on top when put against either of my FC's in a drag run. The only true performance mods on it is a full RB Exhaust and a Centerforce Street/Strip Clutch. It also has Koni's and Eibachs, but that won't help much in a drag race unless you believe The Fast and the Furious.

I guess what I am getting at is don't underestimate 1st gens. You may roast his ****, but then again, you may just bite off more than you can chew. Ask this question again in the 1st gen section if you haven't already.
