My friend in a 90 or 91 ford tauras sho, I don't know how its spelled, thinks his car is the ****. He says it has 220 horses with a yamaha engine in it. Who do you think will win, his sho vs. my 86 n/a rx-7?

Are there any mods on your N/A? Those year SHOs can break 14s stock, so if your stock or even mildly modded he will smoke you. Personally I think its still an ugly taurus, but its a pretty quick ugly taurus

 

scratch that....not supercharged....wrong car....but it will defintely spank you...they are about 220 hp

 

I don't know, I drive around him and he isn't that good of driver. I think it will be close, but I'll when by the way he was driving around me. I'm racing tomorrow night, so I'll post results.

Both of us are manual. I spin the tires going in to second, so my engine is still strong, but stock.

A buddy of mine had a 94 and it hung with my TII when it was stock.

 

i seen one of those take a 5.0 mustang so they are not that slow

When my '85 5.0 ltr T-bird was stock, a sho walked all over me, and my tbird walked all over my '87 n/a with a k&n fipk intake. you havent a prayer.

I beat an old skool sho w/ my na (before it was turbo) but we raced an 1/8. It was stock, I had exhaust and intake.

 

take him out on corners...thoses things are a drag for turns..unlike the rex.

 

Friday night came and gone and the guy didn't show at all. No one could get ahold of him, so either he got scared or something major happened. I'll find out on monday.

i wouldent drag race him man, ive driven an automatic sho and it was really fast, hell of a lot torque. An n/a rx7 could not beat one unless you had nitrous.

I have had 2 SHOs and they are pretty fast. It might be pretty close though depending on how well he drives it. All else aside, it would be a fun race!
