S2000 is a really good autocross and medium speed track car. Has 240hp I think but it's all at 6K to 9K. Chasis is stiff and it handles really well. One of the fastest guys at our local autocross is in a S2000. Other guy is in a supercharged Miata with a suspension kit. One of those 2 usually gets the fastest time out of all the cars there cept for the shifter carts. Not any formula cars ever show up.

Oh, and about the vid... My media player stuff is messed up so I can't watch mpg's on my comp at the moment.

I took down an S2000 on the freeway. My killer power is from 5-8K so who cares if theirs is that high too. lol

Man that is a narrow track!

Looked like fun!

Surprised they let you run with handheld video cameras, get one of those flying around in the cabin and you could be in a world of hurt (literally)

Do you ever have anything even remotely intelligent to say?? 1st off all, its the SVT Cobra that makes the 390HP, not the boss... And it does this with a Supercharged 4.6 DOHC V-8. But why am I telling you this, you know all there is to know about mustangs right?? As I recall you're the one that said with $1000 in mods into a Fox body 5.0 you can run 9's, right Id really like to lay into you and reveal your stupidity, but I wont.... If you dont have anything non-retarded to say, why even bother talking??? Like when you asked us how much you could sell your auto N/A for , and then bitched at everyone of us because you didnt like what you heard... God I cant stand you....

my conclusion is this...no matter how fast a mustang is...its still a mustang and i could care less...who cares if it beats you in a straight line...its still a mustang. they are a dime a dozen and i see nothing special about any mustang built after they killed the big block muscle cars.

They is me. Yes I allow cameras. I think a SA2000 helmet is more than a match for a palm sized camcorder.

My lapping events are a different world from your IT world. My drivers don't bump and bang. I make sure my track staff keeps them separated by flagging the lead driver to let the slow car pass on the wider straights.

It's fun. The is video from Brainerd on the AARRF site. That might interest you. 3 mile track with a 5200' straight and an open banked turn 1.

Yeah, but what if the camera falls into the driver’s floor pan? Will it block the brakes, clutch, or gas? Or will it distracts the driver enough to crash. It is just plain stupid to have things in a race car that are not strapped down. The camera hitting your helmet is the least of your worries. Mandating a camera mount is smart and will help you avoid lawsuits.

Under a pedal like a floor mat. Never thought of that.

Interesting point though I have yet to see a camera that doesn't have a strap.

I'll make sure they are tethered to the operator.
