Who knew a FC was so easy to break into
Had my 91 broken into a couple of months ago. I know it happened a while back, but I was without broadband so no pics. Point of entry: Passenger door.

See the tiny little hole under the handle. ******* used an icepick to go in and twist the locking bar thingy. Rebuilt the interior, but now I have to manually lock the passenger door cause locking the drivers unlocks the passenger.(Notice my lack of certain skills w/out a frickin diagram).
Tore up the console and stole some ****.

Took a cheap *** radio(questar minus faceplate.) Ten disk changer(koss minus the power source, rf modulator, etc. see the grey box ala orange zip tie.)
As a further example of the supreme wit of these thugs. The worst stuff they took had the least value. An XL leather coat (with about 9 yrs of abuse), spare prescription eyeglasses, and 2 library books. LIBRARY BOOKS....like the stupid ******* can even read.
Well that's my rant. The point is did you know our cars could break in that easy without any obvious external signs. I honestly didn't even realize I'd been raped until I reached over to close the glove box and thought. "Why the **** did I leave this open?"

they didnt even have to do that. all they really have to do is take a thin sheet of metal and slide it down along the window by the handle until they press down the unlocking mechinism(spelling)....

A lot of cars are easy to break into. One time I locked myself out of my Civic and had to call AAA. They sent a guy over and I watched him unlock my door in about 30 seconds. It wasn't a slim jim either, it was some device that actually pulled the lock **** from the inside, as if you were doing it yourself with your own hands. It took me longer to fill out the paperwork than it did for him to unlock my car.

My door don't even lock, but if someone breaks into my car and tries to steal it, they'll just wind up blowing it up because they'll probably forget to turn the fan on. My 89 FC got stolen a little over a year ago and I still haven't got over it. That car had a lot of **** done to it and I got it for a hell of a good price. I wish I still had it.
fc's are way easy to hotwire too. if you unplug the wires from the ignition you only need to touch 3 wires together to start the car without a key. one of my fc's had the steering surround and ignition taken from it. so i cut the wires and touched the three together and it started turing over. to bad the motors blown on it.
I'm planning to install some kind of fuel cut switch... but something other than just turning off the pump. Maybe a relay to the EGI fuse. I dont even want the SOB's getting it fired at all.
Some crooks are truly stupid. Just 2 nights ago there were 3 break ins in my complex parking lot, 2 of which were my friends' civics. Both were 2 doors and had the rear stationary window smashed.
On the silver civic, they were unable to remove the stereo at all so they just damaged it beyond repair with screwdrivers and stole the faceplate. The popped the trunk and took his 1" Breaker Bar. The strange thing is what they did not take; they left his 15 CD's sitting in the dash under the stereo, left the 50 CD book sitting in the door, and left the box of Craftsman tools in the trunk that was right next to the breaker bar. They also left the RADAR DETECTOR that i loaned him SITTING THERE suction cupped to the windshield. Staring them in the face as they tried to (and failed) to remove the stereo. A few hundred dollars just sitting there.
On the red civic, they simply slipped her stereo out because it was not installed as well. Again, they left the CD's however, they stole her WORK APRON. She is a waitress at Chili's, and its not like there was any tip money in it. They just took the goddamed apron.
God, some people are soooo stupid.

ah, if they want in- they'll get in - period. i had two windows broke out of my rex in three months going to college, the second time all they took was the change in my ashtray, i was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooo pissed off
The passenger window on my Rx-7 got smashed for no reason. I took a powerful vacuum and sucked up all the glass but I'm worried about the small pieces that cannot be seen. How did you guys clean your cars from broken glass?
b4 using my TII as a daily driver, someone broke into my car and went through all the trouble to steal my tape deck. It was an aftermarket with a detach face. I don't even think it had digitial display on it. It was just plain old. That's not what pissed me off.... what pissed me off was they cut my damn wires. I mean come on... if they woulda asked me, i probably would have given them the deck since it values less than $5. Just don't cut my damn wires. They're not gonna need it. Left lots of other valuables though. People are really stupid.
As for broken glass, i just used a shop vac with a brush attachment.

ya, some n00b broke into my rx a few years back in a movie theater parking lot (I was parked in a dark spot). Since my window were tinted the guy just hung out in my car for probably quite a while. He stole a NICE amp and a sub. Funny thing is he left my nice CD player, and he had pulled out my ignition to the point where you just have to stick a screwdriver in and turn it to start the car. I don't know why he didn't steal the car... I have never felt as violated as when I did when I opened my door, got in, and my seat was kind of scooted forward. I looked around and my CD players face-plate was kind of hanging there not fully attached. I was so shocked. If anyone gets an alarm, make sure you get one with a kill switch. This way, even if they do get in without triggering the alarm, if they try to start it, the starter just makes noise and the alarm will go off.
the easiest way to get into the fc is removing the door sill with a flathead and slideing a piece of sheet metal down. What someone said about using a device to open it form the inside is the easiest and least destructive way, however it is alot harder on cars without power windows and locks. i am not too afraid of breakins around here because their are soo many damn ricer civics and integras within 10 feet that would make a better and more usefull target. However i still put her in the garage every night.
