Who? What? Where? Xentrix, did you say something about smoke? I can't see anything.

Yea, my car is streetported. It added $350 to the cost of the rebuild but worth it HP wise. I can't recomend a shop but I can tell you don't go to RSR.

So one person says go to Rotor Sport Racing, and one says don't go to rotor sport racing? Why no? I need a third opinion!

mazdatrix

Got mine ported at MAZDATRIX here in LA. They did a very good job and the service was very quik!.. The cost is cheaper than any other places that i checked. $300.00 for intake and exaust ports!

Here is a picture of them with my future setup.

fcturbo2-I called mazdatrix 2 months ago and asked them about porting my engine, and they said they don't port turbo engines. How did you convince them otherwise?

thanks,
Kris

I brought my disassembled motor to Rampage Racing in May of 2000. They built the motor with 3 mm apex seals and did a street port. They charged me $2500. I've put about 12,000 miles on the motor, and I'm happy with it. Too bad they're out of business because I would have had them do another motor in the future.

I've heard some bad stuff about Atkins, but I suppose you get that wherever you go...almost, anyway.

Its weird because they told me the same thing the first time i inquired about porting turbo housings. Then i called them the second time after few months and they said to bring it in before the builder starts to work on another motor. Try to call again but this time ask for JOHN. He does most of the porting and does most of the benchworks for Mazdatrix. Very nice guy!

I just thought about this, since you live in another state i dont think its worth sending all your housings because it will cost you alot of money shipping them. I just sold my side housings and it costed me $60.00 just for the side housings alone. It will definitely cost you around $80.00 to send all five housings. Consider looking around your place where you dont have to worry about shipping cost too much. GOOD LUCK

i'm pretty sure that kabooski has a ported t2 engine, but it's in an n/a body, like it makes a difference. he made a 13.5 with exhaust and intake and bald *** tires.
