The S4 and S5 have slightly different sway bar shapes/designs as well as different end links. I found that out the hard way when I installed a Suspension Techniques S4 front bar on my S5. I ended up removing it and installed a Racing Beat S5 bar on the car and that solved all my fitment issues (Note: the correct ST S5 most likely would have solved the fitment issue as well).

Not sure what chassis you have, but apparently Whiteline claims their bar bar design fits both the S4 and S5 - there in may be the issue, not 100% sure a consolation of the two designs would truly fit correctly.

Also on a V8 conversion isn't it necessary to relocate the front bar slightly forward and/or lower to clear the crank pulley/harmonic dampener? That may also be part of the problem.

Thanks for the reply I have a s5 parts car now so ill look into the difference but the var itself is the same shape as the factory piece the problem is with the end links whiyeline shipped with the new bar I will take some pics soon and yes with a v8 swap I'm running spacers to lower the bar but again the bar fits well on its main mounting points it's the endlinks that are giving me problems

Well you may want to install a set of Mazdatrix adjust length sway bar link ends.

86-92 Suspension Parts

Eage8 has them on his car with the Whiteline front bar and I have them on my with the RacingBeat front bar.
