How long did or Is the smoke coming out of the Engine?..If it was only on Start up,then it is most likely Fine,as the car was Down for two months. When the Car is Not started for a Period of time, then some Gas will accumulate in the Housings, resulting in Slight flooding.Sometimes it is hard to start. The Gas will make the engine smoke a bit,but will disappear..Now if it is Still smoking after you have run the Car say 20 minutes-Half an hour, then you should check out the Compression on the engine and Pressure test the cooling system.

Did you spill something on the exhaust manifold?

Only thing to do is let it burn off. It's not going to blow up or anything. If you spilled gasoline you could spray a little water on the engine so it won't be as combustible.

Just let it idle or drive it around town for a while. It will stop smoking.

really really thank you so much....i ll try it tomorrow.....
and another silly question.. ....if i replace the main converter(heat exchanger) of the exhaust system with a straight pipe, will it cause some problem and is there a sensor on the main converter???

No sensor. Just a tiny pipe that goes to the air pump for fresh oxygen so the converter burns the exhaust fumes cleaner. It will help. When a converter gets old it will collect debris and carbon from the engine as well as melt a bit from the heat over the years. This will clog it up making the engine work harder, lose power, and could cause the engine and exhaust manifold to overheat.

If your going to pay for the main cat to be replaced, replace the 2 pre cats along with it.
