White parts on my ecu? Is it burnt up?
I went to double check my ecu today and right behind where the plugs go there are white areas on the solder points.
It looks like they are scorch marks, but I don't really smell anything burnt.
I did find one burnt area in the corner to the left of the 3Y plug on the circuit board.
I'm mostly wondering if this huge cluster of white on my ecu is factory or if it is burnt?
Thanks in advance, I'd love to order another ecu today if I can.
S5 if anyone has one for sell that sees this.

It is between the C900 and the D902 transitor in the corner to the left of the plugs.
Also the white stuff I was considering it being corrosion but it is all in one area and it does have a darkish tinge to it. It is also close to the burnt area; in the bunch of transistors to the right.
How would just one area of the ecu become corrodded?

You know I might actually have figured out a problem or two by now if you'd post something helpful instead of being a smartass.
I've posted twice and both are about completely different things.
Nobody answered on my thread and this one isn't related to other one so posting in it to try and get my question answered wouldn't help at all because the thread title had nothing to do with this problem.
This isn't a question about why my car won't run.
This is a question about if these white marks are scorch marks or if they are a factory resin residue.
After searching for a long time and not finding a post that answered my question I decided to start a thread...
Oh, and I thought I'd take a toothpick and poke the white spot.
It is black, but it isn't burnt on the otherside of the circuit board.....

The capacitor leaked its electrolyte onto the board and corroded it. Find the same value capacitor and replace.
Pics would still make this much easier if you can get some.

That burns the driving output transistor. Sounds to me he just has some bad caps, but we won't know really until we get pictures.

I'm working on the pictures; a friend is supposed to come over in a little while.
My OMP was throwing a code 26. I looked at the pinout for where the dark spots are and it is on the part of the circuit board where the stepper motor pins are.
I've got a feeling that when I was wiring something up and I managed to fry this section of the ecu...
