while I had my shifter out... can I replace this?

I did a search for this and was able to find a picture that should help make my question clear...

I had the shifter out of my 1990 GXL 5-speed and I noticed this sort of groove in the bottom of the shifter. This groove was lined with some type of orange plastic and it fit over a pin towards the front of the tranny.

I could see that some of the plastic had been broken off, and I carelessly chipped away even MORE of the orange plastic when I had the stick out. Sure enough, when I put the shifter back in, I found that shifts are pretty rough sometimes (worse than before).

I've seen lots of posts concerning the shifter bushing, but I'm pretty sure that's NOT this part I'm looking for. So here's the pic.

Can this plastic lining be replaced? Where can I get it? Dealership?

My car didn't have anything orange on it anywhere. It had a purple bushing in there, and I added the white bushing. Shifts awesomely.

I got my white bushing at Mazdatrix. Cost like 10 bucks or so. Not bad. I must repeat, it shifts famously. And all of my gears are tight and precise.
